Terms and rules of admission:

• Students who hold a Syrian secondary school certificate, an intermediate institute, a university degree or its equivalent are accepted at the university, each according to the regulations in force, regardless of the date of obtaining it.
• The Presidency of the University, before the start of the study in each academic year, and based on a decision of the University Council and the approval of the Higher Education Council, takes a decision specifying:
  • General conditions for admission to the university
  • The number of students to be accepted and the specialization required for a secondary or other certificate.
  • And the required averages for registration in each faculty.
  • Dates for submitting applications for registration.
• And in a way that does not contradict the decisions of the Higher Education Council. A student wishing to enroll in one of the university’s colleges may be subject to a special exam whose dates are set in the announcement issued by the university presidency.
• It is required that the general average of the secondary certificate for a student entering the university is not less than the rates determined by the Higher Education Council for private universities.
• Admission is based on a comparison between applicants in each college, specialty, or program. An admission exam can be taken, the subjects, conditions and dates of which are determined, and conducted by a specialized committee.
• Accordingly, the university chooses the number of students that can be accommodated by each of the university’s faculties and according to the sequence of their passing grades in the required secondary school certificate. The principle of weighting high school subjects may be adopted for each specialization.
